  : Baixa is an old historic district full of shops and great restaurants and walking distance to Castelo do Sao Jorge. Many underground metro stations within walking distance.
  : So... this place is owned by a foreign investor from a big country in Asia... There was a severe lack of basic proper safety items such as smoke detectors. Many of of the small appliances were directly from China. I have zero Mandarin skills and this was a disadvantage. Most of the properties I have stayed at in the past had cooking essentials. An experienced host would have provided a guide to using devices in the unit. Baixa district is no where near downtown, so a better location description is needed. The outdoor space has a table and chairs ready to collapse. There is a canopy that is full of filthy water waiting to dump on an unsuspecting victim. The stairs and hallway are filthy in the building. The Union Jack pillows on the bed were filthy as well. Keys barely worked, outside door lock was horrible.
