Disappointing

  : The location is right in the middle of one of Lisbons historical neighborhoods (although not really "downtown"), just a few meters away from many really nice restaurants, and a 5 minutes walk from Colombo (the biggest shopping mall in Lisbon). The host made a good job in refurbishing an old house into a relatively functional and modern place, with most of the needed house appliances.
  : The fact that you have to pick up the keys in a reception located in a completely different part of the city is really inconvenient. Also, some staff in said reception was anything but friendly, and the service has room for improvement (it took them 3 days to replace a broken toaster). The apartment itself lacks some serious maintenance: the cleaning was really poor, with significant mold stains in the external walls of the house (the ones facing the street) and in the shower; the sofa bed cover definitively needs to be replaced and/or extensively cleaned (the stains were massive), and there is this most unpleasant and permanent sewage smell coming from the bathroom, most likely related to some plumbing issues. After a while you start to get used to the smell, but each time you change divisions, you definitively notice it again.

  : it is in a great location -- beautiful old Carnide, an area of Lisbon that I did not know before, and there are lots of restaurants and cafes immediately around the apartment.
  : It is just a little thing, but there was supposed to be a hairdryer in the apartment so I did not bring mine. Since the apartment is managed by an agency, they answered my phone call about the hairdryer but did not manage to bring me one when I needed it....

  : toaster and kettle broken, internet not working. overhead lights ceased to work after 3rd day, Netflix went out after 2nd day and could not be restarted.

  : The apartment is situated in a nice place, in a non-touristic zone with restaurants for locals with tasty food for a relatively low prices. The apartment is small, but had everything you need, including washing machine and a dishwasher, and a welcoming set. In 40 min of walking there is a zoo and a big park.
  : The "deposit" is still not returned despite the fact that I'm 100% sure I haven't damaged anything in the apartment. The owner is not responding to the claims. I think I will need to talk with booking.com support. And maybe to the police, about fraud. This idea of you going to one place (a "welcoming center) to take the keys, and then to the apartment itself is really something very wrong. Even though I'm an experienced traveller, I didn't expect that such a thing would even exist, otherwise I would pay attention to it in the description and would never book it. The owner places several apartments with different addresses to a one address, and because of that me and my kids were awaken at night by other travellers who tried to get inside because they thought this is where they booked. The smell from the bathroom is horrible. The walls and the floor was dirty. And this was the ground floor, where you have the tables of the cafe right below your window. Do not book it.

  : The apartment was really well located, near main arteries and good restaurants and coffee shops. At night was really quiet so we could sleep without any disturbance. Although there was no parking we could find parking slots on the street pretty easily
  : When I arrived to the apartment they let me waiting half an hour outside to get my keys. The apartment that I rented wasn't available anymore and somebody was already there for a couple more days. We needed to go to another apartment around the corner. When we arrived the apartment wasn't as clean as we expected and there was a really bad smell that didn't leave for the hole visit. The bathroom specially the shower looked dirty and the pipes where like rusted and not in a good condition.
