LovelyStay - The Blue Pool House

  : Tiny flat with a nice green terrace in a wonderfully calm neighborhood, close to the famous 28E tram route, 2 min. walking distance to a beautiful city garden where the wild green parrots lived, the bed was not easy to walk around but it was relatively comfortable, shower in the living room was also a bit challenging but if you keep the door open it doesn't smell, also the flat itself is not smelly or dark which was very nice, getting the keys from the box right in front of the house was also very easy and everything was pretty clean (no insects, not even from the garden).
  : The electricity was completely down when we entered the flat and we were asked to risk the life to turn it on for 2 hours according to very mysterious instructions we received via Whatsapp (but at least the person tried to be helpful), toilet flushing needed special handling and the pool water was more safe to just look at from the distance.

  : The location was nice and the terrace area was quite okay.
  : I would not recommend this place or LovelyStay. We contacted the LovelyStay customer service well in advance before our arrival to make sure that someone would be at the apartment when we arrive. No one answered us. As no one replied, we called the CS and they ensured that an employee will meet us there. We asked for a written confirmation about this, but they refused. On the day of our arrival the CS sent us a message saying that no one is able to meet us and we would have to get the key from their office. We called the LovelyStay and asked them to meet us at the apartment as promised earlier. They requested for a written confirmation that they had agreed to meet us at the apartment, which they refused to send us earlier upon request. After a lotof convincing, they agreed to meet us there.We booked this place only because of the swimming pool. We asked many times beforehand (the last time on the day of arrival) if the swimming pool was OK to use and they convinced us that the pool is fine. The employee who met us at the apartment, said that we could ask for them to come and clean the pool if needed. We noticed in the morning that the water was very cloudy and dirty. We believe it would have been a health risk to go in there. We immediately called the CS and asked for a clean up. After multiple phone calls someone came the next day, but after the ”cleaning” the pool was as dirty as before. We asked the LovelyStay to come clean it again, but they did not come. We booked the place for 5 nights and didn’t get to use the pool.

  : The neighborhood is quiet and away from the heavy tourist area but close enough to walk to and from (up hill and down). There is a very nice, very local little restaurant nearby that serves grilled fish and grilled chicken until late and always has a table for you. the Greek restaurant across the street is nice too, but more expensive and there's rarely a table for you without a reservation.
  : The management were awful and I will not do business with them in the future. We arrived later than expected (I had told them it would be several hours earlier, so my fault) and no one was there to meet us with a key, however, we had to bother the man who lived downstairs to even know if we were at the right place and ask him to make a call to find out what we were supposed to do. The woman in the office said no one was going to come out with the key and we'd have to come into town and pick it up from a lockbox (this after several phone calls to her for help) It was night, pouring rain and we had our luggage to deal with so having to get an Uber and go in and out of town to fetch the key was annoying; mostly because of the unhelpful attitude of the woman on the other end of the phone. The apartment was newly remodeled, the bed comfortable and the outdoor space very nice. The bathroom is tiny as is the shower and there is nowhere in the shower to put soap, shampoo etc other than on the floor. Strangely, the apt had a fly infestation of unknown origin. when we first came in, I found the patio door open so thought they came in that way. we got them all out, made sure everything was closed and when we returned the next day a couple dozen more flies were in the apartment; really annoying. we also heard what sounded like mice running under the floor boards (but no evidence at all in the apt); i suspect the recent remodel is the source of the problem. The flies continued to be a problem, but on the day we left we noticed fewer.
