: The room was very nice, clean, comfortable. It is perfect for a solo traveler. It has everything you might need. No one bothers you. The host was helpfull and nice. It has a good location - near Sao Gorge Castle. Overall I strongly recommend it for a solo traveler!

: Very small and cosy. Reasonably well equipped kitchen (with the all-important bottle opener and corkscrew!). Kettle, but no coffee machine. Small, appropriate condiments from previous guests are allowed to remain, so that there is a bit a salt, cooking oil etc. The host was in regular email contact and was very obliging, professional and friendly. He gave good instructions and was always quick to reply. The location is very central, but high up near the castle. If you plan to do Lisbon on foot, everything is a walk away.
: It can get very warm and it felt necessary to sleep with the windows open. I suggested to the host that a fan would be excellent in the bedroom and he has taken this on board - so there may be one there soon! It is not loud, but there are the 'sounds of the city', so be prepared for this. The bathroom is extremely small, though functional. For information, you will be asked to email a photo of your identification and credit card before arrival.

: I killed more than one cockroach, perhaps 3. The place was unclean and there were cockrachs and spiders. The sofa was full of dust and dirt. There is no air conditioning. The bathroom is very small and uncomfortable

: location was superb and the fact it was an old building.
: Damp, you smell it immediately and there is evidence on the walls, you cannot dry anything unless you use the oil electric radiator and you have the damp items next to it for several hours. The bathroom is tiny, the door needs replacing with a sliding door to allow a little more room. The bed had a plastic sheet on it which we had to remove as we woke damp due to it; underneath, the mattress was heavily stained.
